Barranco del Prado
Julián is the person who, for the last 60 years, has cultivated the pre-phylloxera vineyard planted by his grandfather on ungrafted vines at an altitude of 750 m at the end of the 19th century. It is, therefore, a unique vineyard, valuable both for the exceptional quality of the grapes obtained and for being a reservoir of Garnacha plant material and serving as a living testimony and reference point for a historic area of cultivation of this variety, the Sierra de Yerga.
It is made from 97% Garnacha and very minor varieties in Rioja such as Calegraño (2%) and Tinto Velasco (1%).
