“Decanter highlights Monte Gatún 2023 and Solomazuelo 2024 among the Top 60 from 600 tasted in its 2026 Rioja Report”

At Arizcuren, we are proud to once again be recognised among Rioja’s standout producers with the publication of the Decanter 2026 Rioja Report, in which two of our wines have been selected among the top 60 wines from a total of 600 tasted.

This recognition goes to Monte Gatún 2023, awarded 96 points, and Solo Mazuelo 2024, awarded 95 points. For us, it represents an important endorsement of the work we are carrying out to recover and showcase the viticultural identity of Rioja Baja, particularly around the Sierra de Yerga.

For Monte Gatún 2023, Decanter highlights its dynamic, fresh and layered profile, with fruit sourced from several plots in Villa de Quel, located between 530 and 600 metres above sea level. Solo Mazuelo 2024, made from 100% Mazuelo, stands out for its definition, transparency and long savoury finish, underlining the potential of this historic Rioja variety.
