Monte Gatún
Village of Quel
The past, present, and future of Rioja Oriental. The past is represented by the traditional varieties, Garnacha and Mazuelo; the present by Tempranillo, now the most widely grown variety; and the future by a blend of all of them, following the Rioja tradition of mixing varieties to make great wines. Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Mazuelo from vineyards in the town of Quel at an altitude of between 530 and 600 meters, harvested by hand. Aged in French oak barrels and concrete tanks.
